It helps you explore the sun around a Singapore property and, if you choose, contact Joleen about your enquiry.

Information you enter
You may enter an address, building name or postal code; place a map pin; choose a room, facing direction, date and time; compare two locations; and edit an enquiry message. A message may include your preferred areas, approximate price range, sunlight preferences and buying timeline. You do not need to contact Joleen to use the sun check. Please avoid entering identification numbers, financial documents or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Temporary browser memory and shared links
The tool holds its working selections, comparison and search cache in temporary page memory. Its code does not use localStorage or sessionStorage, set cookies or include analytics. This does not describe all processing by hosting and external services.
Reloading normally clears the page’s working memory. However, when a link contains shared selections, the tool reads them from the URL and restores them. Shared links contain property coordinates, a property label, room, facing and confirmation status, date and time. They do not include your editable WhatsApp message. Anyone with the link can inspect and forward the included information. Copies in your clipboard, browser history, bookmarks or messages are not erased by closing this page.
The shared selections are placed after the # character in the URL. This fragment is not normally sent in the browser’s HTTP request to the hosting server, but is visible to page scripts and to anyone receiving the full link.
Map and address services
Address searches are sent from your browser to Nominatim, an OpenStreetMap Foundation service. Map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap servers as you browse. These requests disclose the search text or requested map area, together with technical information such as your internet address and browser details. They occur without sending an enquiry to Joleen. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
Sun calculations and the illustrative shadow-direction overlay run in your browser. Fonts, the portrait and calculation code are embedded in this HTML file and do not require a separate font or image service.
Hosting and external links
Cloudflare delivers this website and may process technical connection information, access logs and security information. Hosting or security features may use their own technologies. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. This tool does not submit your enquiry message to a Joleen-operated database.
Links to Joleen’s other website and third-party sites open services with their own privacy practices. Enquiry drafts may contain a Google Maps link with the selected coordinates; opening that link contacts Google. External providers may process information outside Singapore under their applicable terms. This notice does not promise that all data stays in Singapore.
What happens with WhatsApp
You can review and edit the entire draft. After you tick the consent box and choose Continue to WhatsApp, the exact message shown is placed in a link addressed to Joleen. Opening that link passes the draft to WhatsApp before you press Send, whether or not you subsequently send it. See the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
If you send it, Joleen receives your message and the information WhatsApp makes available to her, such as your account telephone number and profile information depending on your settings. The message and link may remain in WhatsApp and your browser history. The tool cannot erase these copies.
How Joleen uses your enquiry
Your message and contact details are used to respond to your enquiry, understand your property preferences, discuss suitable homes and coordinate viewings. Consent to an enquiry is not consent to unrelated marketing. Any unrelated marketing requires an appropriate separate basis.
Enquiry records should be retained only for as long as needed for the enquiry and applicable legal or business requirements, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. You may request access or correction, or withdraw consent, by contacting Joleen. Requests are subject to applicable PDPA requirements and exceptions, including records that must be retained. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out or remove copies held by external providers.
Changes

Purpose and operator

It provides general information about the calculated position of the sun around a Singapore location. It lets you explore dates and times, compare selected orientations and prepare an enquiry. It does not search a live database of homes for sale, verify a property listing or perform a professional daylight, solar, engineering or valuation assessment.
How to interpret the results
Results use the selected coordinates, date, time and facing direction. Times are Singapore time (UTC+8). Incorrect or approximate pins and facing directions affect the result. The starting location and facing are examples until you make your selections. A “selected” or “confirmed” facing records your input, not independent verification by Joleen.
“Sun in front” means the calculated sun is above the horizon and in the forward half of the selected facing. It does not mean sunlight enters the room. The current model excludes neighbouring buildings, trees, terrain obstruction, floor height, window dimensions, balconies, glazing, curtains and weather. Results are not forecasts of indoor temperature, brightness, glare, energy use or comfort.
Sunlight periods and viewing suggestions are approximate. March, June, September and December comparisons are representative dates, not a complete annual assessment. No direct sun in front does not necessarily mean a room is dark.
Illustrative shadow direction
The optional charcoal arrow points opposite the calculated sun direction and is hidden when the sun is below the horizon. Its length and width are display choices, not measurements. It does not represent an actual building footprint, shadow length or shaded area, and it does not establish whether a property or window is in shade.
No building-height or 3D obstruction model is used. Do not interpret the illustration as a site-specific shade study or use it to establish solar-panel performance, building design compliance or guaranteed sunlight hours.
Map information and availability
Map tiles and address results come from third-party services and may be incomplete, out of date or unavailable. Confirm the pin and address before relying on a result. The amber sun marker indicates direction, not the sun’s geographic distance from the property. Internet access is required for map and address services.
Check conditions at the property
Use this tool as a starting point for questions and viewing plans. Verify actual conditions at the property and obtain relevant professional advice where needed before a purchase, design or investment decision. A suggested viewing time does not guarantee weather, sunlight, access or availability.
Enquiries and Joleen’s services
You may contact Joleen to discuss a property, clarify a facing or request help shortlisting homes and coordinating viewings. Assistance and appointments are subject to confirmation and availability. Sending a message does not reserve a home, book a viewing, create a paid engagement or commit you to appoint Joleen.
This tool takes no payments. Any estate agency engagement, commission or other charge is agreed separately under the applicable arrangements. Property availability, price, eligibility, tenure, dimensions and other material details require separate verification. The tool does not provide legal, tax, financing or valuation advice.
Sharing and acceptable use
Check your message and shared selections for accuracy. Share only information you are entitled to disclose. Use the tool for genuine enquiries and lawful purposes, and do not misuse it or its external services. OpenStreetMap data and mapping services remain subject to their applicable licences and terms.
Accuracy and responsibility
Care has been taken in preparing this tool, but calculations, input, map data and software may contain errors. It is not a guarantee about any particular property or a substitute for an on-site assessment. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Singapore law. Estate agency work in Singapore is regulated by the CEA. These terms may be updated when the tool changes; the date above identifies this version.
